Variable data printing (VDP) transforms static printing into dynamic personalization. Instead of printing the same content on every piece, variable data printing allows each item to be completely unique—with different addresses, barcodes, QR codes, expiration dates, promotional codes, or personalized messages. For packaging converters, label printers, and mail operations, this capability opens new revenue streams and enables applications that static printing cannot deliver.

At Digital Print, Inc. (DPi), we manufacture industrial variable-data inkjet printers that integrate inline with your existing equipment—flexo presses, packaging lines, mail transports, and web presses. Our systems print unique data on every piece without slowing your production, delivering the speed and reliability high-volume operations demand.

What is Variable Data Printing?

Variable data printing is a digital printing technology that changes text, graphics, images, barcodes, or other elements from one printed piece to the next without stopping the press. Unlike traditional printing where every piece is identical, VDP pulls unique information from a database and prints it on each label, package, or mail piece in real time.
